True Death- Loss of Self

He was the rearguard
Even wile asleep he hears
The Final Watchman.

Crazy like a fox
He knew where the foxholes were
And which to reveal.

Loss of Memory
Loss of Self, petrifying
The Dolphins may know

The Dolphins you say?
See, they never fully sleep
must store while awake.

Mammals with a charge
We will change when required
To change or to drown

But our minds will drown
Not our bodies, not this time
Dream and memory

How early is it?
Alzheimer’s, my great named fear
Or perhaps, how late?

I fear the loss of
The unknown more then the known
For this is True Death
