A Cure for Boredom

I sit waiting, bored.
Remember time isn’t fixed.
I relax my mind.

Format once irked me
Now I realize they’re worse off
Than I’ve ever been

So I smile sweetly
A sweetness born of knowing
I have felt your pain.

Even if I’ve not
I see it marked plain as day
Outlining your face

Don’t fret, I won’t stare
I know ‘being on display’
I see, then we talk.

And we talk and talk
Our hours pass by like minutes
And minutes don’t count

So you and I slip
We slip the stream they call time
Joyously talking

I could talk to you
For forever and a day
A cure for boredom.
